Study opportunities in Latvia at Study in Europe Fair in Korea

During this fair, you are also invited to learn more about studying and living in Latvia, as well as in RTU Riga Business School (RBS) as one of the leading business schools in Latvia offering internationally recognized BBA and MBA in English.

Study in Latvia at Virtual Higher Education Fair in Japan

Virtual fairs Japan.pngStudy in Latvia will participate in the Higher Education Fair webinar series organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan from October 27 to 27 November.

Presentation of Study in Latvia is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Latvia in Japan, on 12th of November, 9.00 Riga time.

Study in Latvia will introduce with study oppurtunities in Latvia for international students. Japaniese students are welcome to participate.

Virtual Open days at Latvian higher education institutions

September - November, 2020, online

_VIRTUAL OPEN DAYS FB New.pngWhat to expect from studies in Latvia? How to overcome the distance barrier before applying?

One solution is to take part in the Virtual Open Days, organized by universities. In these events prospective students can virtually meet the staff of the university and current students, as well as get answers to  questions.

Usually these events take place on one of the online platforms, such as Zoom or Facebook Live, and pre-registration is recommended.

Latvian higher education institutions at Virtual Education Fairs in Kazahkstan and Uzbekistan

In autumn of 2020, Latvian universities are planning to take part in a series of Virtual Education Fairs aimed at the Eurasia region. 

RTU Riga Business School (RBS) is going to take part in the online exhibition "Education Abroad", which is happening on October 10-11, 2020, Kazahkstan. The presentation of RBS will be held on Sunday, 11th of October, at 17.00 Kazakhstan time. EKA University of Applied Sciences are planning to participate in the WORLD-EXPO EDUCATION FAIR in Uzbekistan, October 17-18, 2020. It will be run online, 10.00-18.00, Time zone in Tashkent (GMT+5). More information about the fair here. Introduction with participants can be found here

Start of the new study year

Happy new study year Twitter.pngSeptember 1 is the Knowledge Day in Latvia, traditionally marking the start of the school and study year. This autumn some adjustments have been made to the study process. Along with Latvians, also foreign students are starting or continuing their studies in Latvian universities in the coming weeks. Statistics show that every 10th student in Latvia comes from abroad. Welcome to Latvia and have a great study year! 

 

Virtual session with four Latvian universities on Facebook

It will give the unique opportunity to connect with panel experts and ask questions about universities enrollments next year for both Bachelor and Master degrees.

EAIE 2020 Annual Conference & Expo - postponed to 2022

October 13 - 16, 2020, Barcelona, Spain

EAIE-2020-Spain-Barcelona.jpgStudy in Latvia was planning to take part with a stand in the 32nd Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition, which has been scheduled on 13–16 September, at Barcelona (Spain), but it has been postponed to 2022 due to concern of the health and safety of attendees.

The EAIE 2020 is Europe's largest and most comprehensive higher education event, gathering 6000+ professionals from all over the globe. It is an oppurtunity to explore new trends, debate hot topics with leading figures in HE, foster new partnerships and network at dynamic social events.

NAFSA 2020 Annual Conference & Expo - cancelled

May 24 - 29, 2020, St. Louis, USA

NAFSA-2020-USA-Louis.pngStudy in Latvia was planning to take part with a stand in the NAFSA higher education conference and exhibition, which was scheduled on 24-29 May, at St. Louis, Missouri (USA), but it has been cancelled due to concern of the health and safety of attendees.

The next NAFSA conference and expo will take place on May 30 to June 4, 2021, in Orlando, USA. Study in Latvia is planing to participate in this event. 

The NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo unites all international educators and organizations that support international education - it is the premier global professional learning and networking event.

APAIE 2020 Conference and Exhibition - postponed to 2021

Mar 22 - 26, 2020, Vancouver, Canada

 

APAIE-2020-Vancouver-Canada.pngStudy in Latvia was planning to participate with a booth in the APAIE 2020 Annual conference and exhibition, organized by Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE). The event was scheduled on 22-26 March, at Vancouver, Canada.

Due the concerns of the coronavirus outbreak in the world, the event has been postponed to March 21-25, 2021. Study in Latvia participation in the APAIE also has been postponed to 2021. 

The APAIE Conference & Exhibition brings together thousands of professionals who are passionate about international education from across the globe to the Asia-Pacific region to network, improve professional skills and learn about new developments in international education.
