Daugavpils University (DU) was founded in 1921 and today is the biggest regional state university and the only university in Eatern-Latvia. DU has five faculties: the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Faculty of Music and Art and the Faculty of Education and Management.
DU has an advantage of being located in a multicultural environment. We cooperate with various institutions worldwide and recently we became a member of EUA. Our University participates in international Erasmus programme. We have 38 partners in 17 countries.
University was accredited on January 29, 2004 for the whole period.
