|Study programme description||The aim of the study programme is to train highly qualified specialists with higher technical education. The training of such specialists is provided by Academic and Professional Aviation Centre (APAC) of TSI, certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency.
Studies are organised in the form of lectures, seminars, project work, discussion groups, presentations, internships, industrial visits, interaction with experts from the industry. Main study courses offered include Basic electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information technology and digital technology, Aerodynamics and flight dynamics, Aircraft design, Avionics and aircraft electrical systems, Aircraft engine design, Navigation, radar and communications systems, Management of technological process at an aviation enterprise. Students in this programme acquire skills in the technical operation of aircrafts and helicopters, technical operation of avionics systems, aerodynamics and flight dynamics, technical maintenance of the aviation equipment, constructions and systems of the aircrafts.
The graduates of this program are usually employed in different areas of the aviation industry as aircraft maintenance engineers at companies manufacturing aeronautics and aviation systems, engineers at repair facilities and in other areas.

Transport and Telecommunication Institute is the largest university-type accredited non-state technical higher educational establishment in Latvia. Main academic activities: higher education, training courses, vocational training.
