|Study arrangements||During studies international students join groups of local students that follow the program in Latvian and study according to an individual plan in English. |Study programme description||The aim of the study programme is fundamental, comprehensive training of professionals of computer science courses. The programme complies with the international standard of computer education Computing Curricula 2008 prepared by IEEE Computer Society and Association for Computer Machinery. The students of the programme may get certification in the TS’ Microsoft IT Academy.
Studies are organised in the form of training - lectures, seminars, project work, discussion groups. Main study courses offered include Algorithms and Data Structures, Architecture of Computer Systems, Artificial Intellect and Intelligent Systems, Data and Knowledge Base, Human and Machine Interactions, Digital and Symbolic Calculations, Software Engineering, Programming Languages, Information Management, Data Mining, Multimedia Systems, Modelling and Simulation, Methodology and Technological Principles of the Development of the Large Programme Systems, Hyper Textual Information Systems and Environments and others. Students in this programme acquire skills related with software engineering, but in the same time contains the courses related with IT systems administration and networking issues.
The graduates of this programme are usually employed in in companies, started their carrier with programmer’s position.

Transport and Telecommunication Institute is the largest university-type accredited non-state technical higher educational establishment in Latvia. Main academic activities: higher education, training courses, vocational training.
