Study programme descriptionUndergraduate programme in Dentistry
leading to Doctor of Dental Surgery. Description of the programme: 1st year: acquirement of fundamental and medical disciplines;
2nd - 3rd year: preclinical and para-clinical sciences;
4th - 5th: clinical work with patients.
The clinical base of specific disciplines in Dentistry
is provided by the Institute of Stomatology in Riga which is a high quality centre well known in Europe.
Upon a successful completion of the study programme, students are conferred a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery and are authorised to practice under the supervision of a certified dentist. Students may continue their education in the post-graduate study programme residency in orthodontics, teeth prosthetics, endodontics, periodontics, paediatric dentistry or maxillofacial surgery.

RequirementsMinimum age - 18. Maximum age is not limited. All international applicants are expected to have completed their upper secondary education including 2 semesters of Biology or Chemistry, preferably also Physics or Mathematics and must be eligible for higher education studies in their home country.
Certificate of the English language proficiency is required.
