|Study programme description||The aim of the study programme is to train highly-qualified specialists in the field of computer sciences with emphasis on the modern software development technologies, machine learning technologies, cloud technologies as well as big data processing technologies. In the course of the programme, the student will acquire the skill to formulate and effectively solve complicated tasks in the above mentioned fields as well as manage and coordinate software development groups.
Studies are organised in the form of lectures, seminars, project work, discussion groups, presentations, internships, industrial visits, interaction with experts from the industry. Main study courses offered include System analysis and Design, Software development technologies, Cloud technologies, Intellectual capital of a company, System analytics,
Artificial intelligence, Machine learning technologies, and Big data processing technologies. Students in this programme acquire skills related with software engineering, but in the same time contains the courses related with IT systems administration and networking issues.
Graduates will be able to work as software architects and developers, IT advisers, project managers in the field of information technology, development team managers, system analysts, etc.

Transport and Telecommunication Institute is the largest university-type accredited non-state technical higher educational establishment in Latvia. Main academic activities: higher education, training courses, vocational training.
