Study programme descriptionProgramme aims to prepare highly qualified professional vocal performers (including academic, jazz and early music singers), providing specialists required by the State and the society, to provide knowledge based on the theory of music sciences consistent with the standards of vocal performers’ profession and applicable in professional practice, preparing graduates for successful integration into the professional vocal performance environments of Latvia and of foreign countries, motivating students for professional development and further education within the united European education area; graduates of the study programme are able to adapt to the international cultural environment and to preserve and develop the national musical heritage of Latvia.

Additional requirements for application to study:
• Singing (academic singing or early music singing or jazz singing);
• Colloquium in vocal music;
• Colloquium in music literature and theory (solfeggio, harmony, form).
