Study programme descriptionAim of the study programme is to prepare highly qualified specialists for independent research and evidence-based work in various medical practice spheres while possessing fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to both public health and research methods.

The study process is organised in the form of interactive lectures, classes, seminars and independent work. Students in this programme acquire ability to identify and justify public health problems. Competence to practically apply the most suitable method and solution to prevention of public health issue. Intelligence to justify, demonstrate and defend own opinion on public health issue.

The graduates of this programme are usually employed in the field of health care and have the option of working as public health organisers, public health methodologists, public health analysts, health promotion consultants, health promotion coordinators, environmental health analysts as well as the option to continue with doctoral studies.

RequirementsHigher academic or professional education corresponding to at least 120-160 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System credit points (corresponding to bachelor degree) either in public health, health and social care, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, social sciences, nursing or social work.
English language profeciency (certificate in IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550 certificate or equivalent).
