Study programme descriptionThe aim of the programme is to provide a comprehensive education for students seeking to become qualified and competitive physiotherapists, developing professional physiotherapeutic studies, based on the scientific theory of the field, and corresponding to the professional standards of physiotherapy. By implementing the acquisition of extended knowledge in physiotherapy, students are prepared for creative research and educational work.

Studies are organised in lectures, seminars, discussions, group and individual projects and presentations. Main courses offered include basic subjects like Anatomy and Biology, clinical subjects - Pathological Physiology, Internal Diseases and specialised subjects - Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and many more. During the final year students undertake placements and carry out scientific work (Bachelor theses). Students in this programme acquire knowledge of health improvement and prophylactic measures as well as the skills to improve and maintain the functional abilities of patients by using different methods of physiotherapy.

Graduates of this programme are usually employed in rehabilitation institutions, social care centres, schools, sports teams or similar establishments.

RequirementsMinimum age - 18. Maximum age is not limited. All international applicants are expected to have completed their upper secondary education including 2 semesters of Biology and must be eligible for higher education studies in their home country.
Certificate of the English language proficiency is required.
