|Study programme description||The aim of the study programme “Nursing” is to provide students with a scientific foundation for professional activity, developing the ability to independently conduct scientific research, skills and techniques to act independently in different care situations.
Studies are organised in the form of student-centred approach as its basic principle. Study groups are small and the study process is personalised. Main study courses are offered in modules: Knowledge of humans and organisms through the acquisition of theoretical knowledge; Subjects that develop social, communicative and organisational skills throughout all the years of study. Clinical subjects: Sectoral specialisation courses, emergency services, as well as theoretical knowledge of clinical applications and out-patient care. Students in this programme acquire skills to describe and critically analyse situations and problems, applying theoretical knowledge to logically assess development of a situation and take decisions to deal with problems.
Nurses work in clinics, family medical practices and health care centres, private practice, doctor’s offices, as well as institutions that coordinate patient care.

|Requirements||Minimum age - 18. Maximum age is not limited. All international applicants are expected to have completed their upper secondary education including 2 semesters of Biology and must be eligible for higher education studies in their home country.
Certificate of the English language proficiency is required.
