|Study programme description||Our mission is to educate managers and build leaders who create sustainable prosperity in the Baltic region and international environment. We do this by fostering an environment in which high potential individuals are challenged, inspired and engaged through interactive learning in the world’s top management practices.
The program consists of 15 courses - 9 core and 6 electives, and master thesis. Lectures, seminars, project work, discussion groups, case studies etc. Managerial Economics, Strategic Management, Human Resource Managements, International Financial Management, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Project Management, Management Information Systems, E-Business, Information Technology and Strategy, Organizational Behavior etc.
Students can obtain a General MBA or choose from three specializations - Marketing, Finance or IT.
The Finance specialization leads to a deep understanding of the intricacies of financial markets, the various types of investments, and gives them the rigorous analytical tools needed to make intelligent financing and investment decisions. The program also means that they are able to understand and exploit current trends in financial markets, whether in Latvia or globally. Finally they are drawn by the Finance specialization having the option of preparing for and taking the CFA exams for an additional qualification.
The MBA IT prepares industry specialists for leading 21st-century companies where IT management plays a key role, enabling them to use today's IT solutions to compete in the global market.
Having a specialization in marketing means that you will be able to lead the whole process of marketing – plan, research, strategy, implementation, and monitoring. More importantly, you are ready to roll up your sleeves and work because you get real-world exposure and practice throughout the course in case studies, discussion with peers and team projects that force you to provide value in a measurable way. |Requirements||1) Bachelor or equivalent nationally recognized undergraduate degree.
NB! If you have not studied calculus, you must take the Pre-MBA course.
2) English Proficiency - TOEFL or IELTS
550 for paper-based TOEFL test or 80 for internet-based TOEFL test are expected.
6.5 for IELTS is expected.
3) Intellectual test
50% correct answers expected.
