Study arrangementsInternational students study in English according to an individual plan (60 ECTS) and join a group of local students studying in English (120 ECTS). Latvian language is taught 1 academic year (at least 9 ECTS).

Study programme descriptionThe aim of the programme is to provide academic education in the field of Computer Science. It includes the courses of the following subjects: Fundamentals of Computing, Programming, Algorithms and Data Structures, Fundamentals of Programming Languages, Databases, Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Methodology, Computer Networks and Internet Applications, Computer Graphics and Multimedia, Computer Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics and Physics. Acquisition of the study programme is organised in the form of lectures, seminars, practical classes and laboratory works, students’ independent assignment (individually, literary studies, development of a project in small groups).
Graduates are prepared for labour market as IT professionals like software developers, web designers, administrators of computer systems, IT consultants, etc. They are also entitled to continue their studies as Master students.

RequirementsGeneral Certificate of Secondary Education (official transcript is required);
The grade in Mathematics from the GCSE (if there are more than one discipline the average grade is taken into account);
The grade in English from the GCSE.
